3 Simple Rules I Follow That Make Happiness Easier
Yesterday, I saw someone shouting on the street: “Why are you miserable?”
I don’t know what he was getting at — I biked past him too fast — but the question stuck with me.
For me, the answer is simple: We are so miserable nowadays because of the constant focus on the outside world.
The comparison. The pressure to achieve. The rushing through life without ever slowing down. The list is long.
But it doesn’t have to be like this.
My life changed when I started paying attention to my inner dialogue — and shifted just three simple things.
Today, I’m so much happier than I was a few years ago.
My life didn’t change much on the outside. But I changed on the inside.
Here are the 3 simple rules I live by — and they might just shift something for you too.
#1 Always count your blessings
Anyone can complain. But few can find the good in the chaos.
Our brains are wired to focus on the negative — it’s how we survived in the wild. But in today’s world of endless distractions and bad news, if you don’t intentionally look for the good, you’ll get swept away by the bad.
