Creating peace in the world starts with your relationships.

We often watch the news in terror asking ourselves ‘What a world did we humans create?’

If you feel anxious, helpless, and have lost faith in humanity — I totally get it.

But don’t let the craziness out there take away your power.

You have an impact and you can add more peace to the world within your immediate relationships.

As Thich Nhat Hanh says ‘Everything can begin with you. You are the foundation of any change that will happen in your society.’

How we treat each other is how we create the society we live in.

95% of people are bad at relationships. Don’t let that be you.

Follow these 7 zen rules and you’ll add more peace to your life and to the people around you.

This will change your reality.

Take care of yourself

You can only do peace when you are at peace.

If your cup is empty you will not be your best self. You’ll lash out, be impatient, and reactive.

That’s normal.

Your job is to take care of your body and mind. Your body and mind are your temple.

It’s your responsibility to cultivate gratitude.

It’s your responsibility to take care of your pain.

It’s your responsibility to master your mind.

It’s your responsibility to move and nourish your body.

If we are peaceful, if we are happy, we can smile, and everyone in our family, our entire society, will benefit from our peace. — Thich Nhat Hanh

Let’s do the inner work for ourselves, for the people we love, and for creating a society we actually want to live in.
